England vs USA

It's been quite a long time since my last blog. I'm definitely due to write an update, not least because I was supposed to be living and working in Australia now. Well, I'm very happy to say that I've decided to stay in the UK - and since making this decision I have been feeling a lot happier.

It has been a very busy time over the past couple of months. As a way back into blogging I've decided to do a number of snapshots along the theme of "Where were you when Kennedy was shot?". Only in this case it will be: "Where were you during the England world cup matches?"... Interesting, the answer is most likely not "I was in front of the telly"

During the football match I was recovering from a long day at the Transition Network conference. Transition takes a very positive response to climate change and peak oil, but on Saturday evening those of us not enjoying the football were dealing with our emotions after a dire talk on economics. I was in a dorm room with Author Shaun Chamberlin, who wrote a blog post on the subject.
